The Stroke Foundation provides information and support to people with a stroke, their family/whanau and caregivers. Our network of Field Officers and stroke support clubs assist the stroke-affected community. We also provide information through literature, videos and our 0800 78 76 53 (0800 STROKE) helpline to the general public.

The Stroke Foundation have just released the NZ Guidelines for the Assessment and Management of Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA). These unique guidelines have been compiled by three Stroke Foundation medical advisors to help GPs and DHBs deal more effectively with TIAs. If implemented correctly, these guidelines may save hundreds of lives and millions of dollars in direct health costs.
