Stroke Week to be held in October

Stroke Week will be held in the first week of October 2017, as a lead-in to the Big NZ Blood Pressure Check on October 7.

We hope that all New Zealanders will take time during the week to learn about stroke, how it can be prevented, and how to spot and respond to it.

The Big NZ Blood Pressure Check is a chance for all New Zealanders to get their blood pressure checked for free, at venues around the country. High blood pressure is a leading cause of stroke, and regular checks are one effective tool in lowering your stroke risk.

Stroke Week will run 2- 6 October.
