Judith's story
I had my first stroke 11 years ago, and a second one four months ago. I’m not ‘quick off the block now’.
I sometimes look positively blank, my hands are very slow at working, and I drag one of my legs. My left foot, when going to stand from sitting, just isn't there. My eyesight has weakened along with my hearing, I’m slow to recognise things. The hospital, on discharging me, said there were no real signs physically. I wish they were. I realise I’m not terribly serious but, after all, a stroke is a stroke. It’s very frustrating.
