Leeanne Yeoman

Board Member

Leeanne Yeoman is the Associate Director of Allied Health for Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation at Te Whatu Ora Waitahi/ Canterbury. As a registered Physiotherapist, Leeanne brings over 20 years of experience working alongside stroke survivors across acute care, hospital rehabilitation, and community settings in both New Zealand and the UK.

Her career has spanned clinical practice and operational healthcare leadership, underpinned by a Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation. Leeanne is deeply committed to improving stroke recovery pathways and ensuring that services are responsive, equitable, and person-centred.

Based in Christchurch, Leeanne joined the Stroke Aotearoa Board in 2024. She brings a practical, compassionate perspective to the organisation’s mission, informed by years of hands-on experience and strategic insight. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the outdoors—tramping and cycling with friends and whānau.
