Juzer's story

Stroke destroyed my life. It messed up my future. I cannot work, pay bills, or have sex. I hate this stroke. It destroyed everything. I smile with a fake smile.

I was a very strong, hardworking person and the breadwinner of my family. Since my stroke I’ve been struggling. I cannot walk straight, I need a stick, but I get tired and cannot walk long distance.

My wife is my support and carer, who is by my side 24/7. Without her, I will die. I have lost friends. We laugh/cry and I don’t know what the future holds for me. But I am ok; I smile from outside. I laugh a lot at the stroke club in Palmerston North.
